Simple indeed! I’ve been knitting on this since last Sunday. I’ve done a bit more since this picture. It’s the simple knitted bodice designed by Stefanie Japel for Stitch Diva Studios. So far I’m extremely pleased with how this is turning out. The fit is good and so far pretty flattering as well. I’m unsure read more
Dead Bread.
For some reason this picture makes me laugh for a lot of time. I really think it’s the look of sheer joy on the bread’s face. At any rate, check out Creatures in my Head. Andrew Bell may be crazy, but he sure does draw pretty pictures!
Around and About.
Bits and pieces for this entry. I haven’t posted anything because I have been swamped with reading for school. Today, I went to a memorial service at the local baptist church. The wife of a professor who is very dear to me passed away last Wednesday and the memorial was today. It was hard, but read more

Gaseous
Tonight I have learned a valuable lesson. While eating a half pound of broccoli doesn’t add up to a whole lot of points it does mean that you are likely to end up with a belly that is somewhat distended because of all the gas it churns up. Learn from my experiences folks.

This month is Socktoberfest hosted by the lovely Lolly. I’ve finished one sock and had to rip out half of another already. I’m aiming for three complete pairs this month. We’ll see. A Week Late and a Dollar Short.
Or something like that. I’m feeling better now [although the cold is still hanging on a bit.] This means it’s past due for my Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival Report. Bleh.
Flock and Fiber Festival update is forthcoming. Once my head drains enough to be comfortable again. After not having been sick all summer [with the exception of allergies and some dehydration] I am sick enough that I have to miss day one of my class this term. Luckily, it’s a professor I know and I’m read more

Not Clean Enough.
I read Cute Overload regularly. Today, I stop by and see this: If you look closely you will note that this child is licking the snout of that pig. Full on, flat tongue to snout-end licking. Now, readers of TheBlog, you may not know that I was raised on a small farm. We had goats, read more
An Open Letter to ODOT

I appreciate that people could better spend those 4 minutes read more
