Sparkly!

TheBoy and I visited the jeweler yesterday in order to approve the wax and pick a stone for the center of my ring setting. We decided on a .56 carat Ceylonese sapphire of medium darkness [especially knowing that it will appear darker once set into the setting.] And of course, we took photos. please ignore read more

Oy.

I am unused to being home. I like being home, but I have less interest in updating this here blog than I did before I left. Nothing much has been happening, except that TheBoy and I met with the jeweler and should see a mock-up, or at least be selecting a sapphire for my engagement read more

Home Again, Home Again.

Made it home fine from Anchorage. Feels weird to not be working anymore, although I start back at my normal job again on Monday. Definitely a great internship experience and an organization I’d love to work for again. Only one of my suitcases made it in with me on my connecting flight from Seattle, but read more

Dichotomy.

I keep meaning to write this post and yet it keeps getting passed off without me doing it. In large part because of a lack of time and in other parts due to a lack of free time at the computer. On my journey out of Anchorage for my job, I was doing work in read more

Frustration.

Sometimes I swear Firefox is out to drive me crazy. All summer it has eaten my bookmarks continuously. Luckily I’m able to resync it between the craptop and the big bad machine back home in Oregon. However, when I went to do that today, I accidentally hit upload, thereby killing about half my bookmarks. Blergh! read more

Neglectful.

I’ve been terribly neglectful of this here blog. There’s just been so little time to write and it may get worse before it gets better. We’re moving today, from the UAA dorms we’ve been staying in for two months to a furnished apartment not too far from our office. It has internet but I’m not read more
