My favorite thing in my apartment is this lamp:

Derek’s grandmother bought it with S&H Greenstamps a few decades ago and I am its third owner.  I did buy the current shade for it.  I was told that I am allowed to paint it, or do whatever I want to do with it, but I love the simplicity and the shape of it too much to ever do that.
