TheBoy and I visited the jeweler yesterday in order to approve the wax and pick a stone for the center of my ring setting. We decided on a .56 carat Ceylonese sapphire of medium darkness [especially knowing that it will appear darker once set into the setting.] And of course, we took photos. please ignore the fact that it appears not to fit together, there’s no way to attach the wax to the pre-made platinum setting. Here’s a shot of the wax showing the counter-balanced band.

and one with it on my finger where it appears not to fit. After casting the band will be narrowed quite a bit, and rounded on the underside so as not to remove skin from my knuckles constantly.
