It is offically fall here, with the temperatures finally getting chilly. Its not chilly enough to turn the heat on yet, oh no, I’m trying to see if we can hit November 15th; although I’d love to not turn it on until December. I do suspect the time will come for a fire in the fireplace sooner rather than later.

Anyway, one of the highlights of my fall is a spinning class, four Sundays. It started last week when we worked with drop spindles. Here’s the product of my first attempt with that:

Today we learned how to use the wheel. Working with the drop spindle was definitely easier for me than the wheel was. Adding my foot to the process made things just a little bit more complicated. No photos of that because I didn’t feel like being the nerd taking photos in class.
