I have been wrapping Christmas presents like mad whenever I get a spare second. Because I’m shipping stuff across the country I want to make sure I send it in plenty of time. Besides, once they’re all papered I can start with the ribbons. I believe I have about a half dozen gifts left to wrap, although three are not currently in my posession [one hasn’t even been purchased yet.]
I decided on a plan of attack for decorating the apartment. There is no Christmas outside [green, warm Christmas weirds me out] so I knew I had to do something. We have this weird swag-thing that TheBoy’s grandmother gave us last year along with a wee fake tree. This year, my mom is shipping some of my ornaments to me and I bought a fake pine swag. Since we have very little open space I decided that the glass doors out to the balcony would be the best place for said swag. Since we like to keep the curtians open most of the time, I saftey pinned the swag to the curtain so that it folds and moves with the curtain itself. Then, while watching Rudolph, I figured out where my Bumble ornament had ended up and dug that out. It is now hooked onto the very center of the swag. When my ornaments arrive, they will also hang from the fake greenery. And then we can fold it up and store it for next year easily. I think once everything gets together it will be quite lovely. Or at least not super depressing.
