I kept forgetting to blog this, so I’m doing it now while I still remember. Friday morning TheBoy dropped me off for my eweb-adventure, pulling up to the front entrance of the eugene water and electric board headquarters. As we were pulling in, a young guy [my age–early 20’s] was getting into his car next to us. I noted that he had a bumper sticker that read “support president bush and our troops” [which is an oxymoron]. He backed out of his space and then hovered there, behind our car. TheBoy has an “i did not vote 4 bush” bumper sticker on the car and as I stepped out of the door the young man next to us pulled forward and sneered at me. “I voted for Bush,” he boasted. I was in a hurry and not looking for a confrontation [or a bashed in bumper] and leveled a glare at him while tossing off the words “I’m sorry” as I rushed into the building. TheBoy didn’t hear or see any of this interchange, and later on I realized that what I ought to have said was “That’s nothing to be proud of.” However, my wits appear to not be fully with me at 9.30am on a Friday.
