putting my own spin on things

My days are decidedly too short…

…Or maybe I’m trying to do too many things with them. At any rate, there’s been a lot of tired in my life lately and tired tends to lead to a lack of creativity. I have finished the first retro-stripe sock and started the second (barely, while waiting for the bus yesterday). MaryElla is over half done (a good thing because it’s set to be gifted tomorrow).

Life is good. Jill is coming down tonight, and then tomorrow we’re going to see her, TheBoy’s step-dad and Nanie (MaryElla is her gift) to celebrate her 84th birthday. Huzzah!

I’m waiting on an application I requested for a job in Alaska this summer. The opportunity was announced on Tuesday and I promptly sent an email requesting an application. At this point, I have still not heard back. The completed applications are due on the 11th. I’d really like the job (or at least the chance to apply) and I’m a little unsure of what to do. I’m afraid that if I email again or call it may seem pushy and bad. I’ll figure it out soon, I suppose. I just feel annoyed by the fact that I haven’t gotten a response which makes me wonder if I want to work for people that ignore requests like this.

*EDIT* I emailed the gentleman again, being very polite, etc and if I don’t hear from him by Monday will call.
