well, posting has been light because i have either come down with some sort of sick or developed the worst case of allergies in my life. the bad news about that is i'm not sure which it is. however, the target brand claritin seems to have helped some and since other peoples' allergies have kicked in at the same time, i'm leaning more towards that. we'll see how things go, i'm supposed to go see bill cosby tomorrow night with theboy and his mom, i only hope i feel well enough to go.

blogiversary
today is mac's 3rd blogiversary. that made me get to thinking that the first published post that wasn't wiped out was from april 21, 2003. so, i just past my second blogiversary. of course, i've been blogging much longer than that, except all those entries are gone into the ether now--where they belong.
Officially Accepted.
I have officially accepted the position in Alaska for the summer. I'm a little terrified about leaving my comfortable set-up at home and going fairly far away, but I know at least one person I like got the job that I didn't get, but will also be living in Anchorage and working kind of for the same organization, kind of. I think that it is safe to say that I will be working as a historian, but other than that, I'm going to be vague about who I am working for, for safety's sake.
