Innundated.

I am completely innundated with work and term papers.  One down, one more due later this week.  And then a relaxing weekend, and next week full of paid work and two finals wednesday, one of which is a take-home exercise, the other consisting partly of take home essays and an ungodly early in-class exam.

Turtle Soup

Derek and I have been turtle sitting for the past two days.  My friend, the fabulous Kristi, flew home to Pennsylvania early yesterday morning in order to spend a weekend with her parents.  While this turtle really doesn't look like the two we've been watching, the point of this post is that I think I want a turtle.  They're not cuddly, but they are super interesting to watch and I just love how amazing it is to watch them move.  The pair I've been taking care of are named Harold and Maude, which is sweet, although Maude is kind of a brat.  Harold is the most handsome, stripey turtle in the whole wide world.  If I had a place for a tank, and could afford the kind of set up a turtle needs, we would be getting one tomorrow.

I’m Thankful for Dirty Bunnies.

Now, bunnies will always hold a special place in my heart.  Even though I'm 23 years old my older sister (who is only older by 2 years mind you) will slip in my childhood nickname of "Bunny".  Trust me, it was the least offensive of the nicknames my sisters gave me, they were pretty creative girls.  At any rate, this little bunny smashing his head has given me large amounts of amusement.

Set to music by an Australian band named TISM a bunny laments how he feels that he's not having as much fun as everyone else.  There's two versions of the animated video, one can be found at albino black sheep and both versions can be found at an australian site.  My favorite part of the radio edit is not the dance mix beat, it's the pink haired grandma bunny with saggy boobies.  Heh heh heh heh heh.
